Online people-search sites are full of stale addresses and wrong matches. A real locate investigation starts with lawful data sources, then cross-checks them against court records, property filings, employment clues and online activity, and, when it matters, confirms the result in person.
We find people for individuals, attorneys and businesses: a witness who moved, a debtor who stopped answering, someone who needs to be served, a relative you lost touch with years ago.
Who we are asked to find
- People who owe you money, including those with a judgment against them
- Witnesses an attorney needs to interview or subpoena
- Defendants or respondents who need to be served court papers
- Former tenants who left owing rent or damages
- Old friends, relatives and heirs you have lost contact with
- Birth relatives, where the law and the other person’s privacy allow
How a locate investigation works
- Identity confirmation first, so we are searching for the right person and not someone with the same name
- Searches of lawful data sources available to licensed investigators, used only for permissible purposes
- Court, property, business and licensing records across Tennessee and other states
- Open-source research: online footprints, associates and employment clues
- Field verification when you need certainty: confirming the person actually lives or works at the address
What you receive
- A report with the most current verified address, and how it was verified
- Supporting details where lawful and relevant, such as vehicles seen, workplace or associated addresses
- A clear statement of confidence: confirmed, probable, or not found
- Next-step guidance for service of process or collection
Tennessee law that matters here
Many of the databases licensed investigators use are governed by federal privacy laws such as the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and the Driver’s Privacy Protection Act. We use them only for permissible purposes and document the purpose for every search.
We will not locate someone for a person they are protected from, and we decline requests that look like stalking or harassment. If you are the subject of a protective order, we cannot help you find the protected person.
If someone may be in danger, report it to police immediately. There is no required waiting period. We can work alongside law enforcement, but we never replace them.

Questions about this service
Locate investigation questions
How long does it take to find someone?
Many locates are resolved through records research in a short time. People who are actively avoiding contact, have no fixed address or have moved out of state can take longer and may need field work. We tell you up front which kind of case yours looks like.
Can you find someone with only a name?
Sometimes, if the name is distinctive. A date of birth, an old address, a phone number or a photo makes it far more likely. The more you give us, the faster and cheaper it is.
Will you tell the person I am looking for them?
No, not unless you ask us to make contact for you, which we can do for family reunifications or witness interviews.
Can you find someone so they can be served?
Yes. Locating a person who is avoiding service is common work for us. Once we have a verified location, papers can be served through the proper process.
Do you search outside Tennessee?
Yes. Records research is national, and we can arrange field verification in other states when needed.
